The below map shows where all the different types of parking are in the city.  The best place to find a park is in the all day pay and display car park off the end of Herschell Street (behind Te Pania hotel and adjacent to the Community Arts Centre). There are often spaces available, especially early morning. Another good option is the upper Tiffen Park next to the Municipal Theatre, though you need to get in quick for these.
