Come along and be challenged, ignited and activated!

How often do we as a professional body talk collectively about the state of our profession? This last session of the conference is a ‘no holds barred’ panel discussion made up of a cross-section of esteemed planning professionals, who are passionate advocates for our profession. They will discuss the issues we face, the future of our profession, and tackle some of the big questions – how do we position and frame what we do well, or do we let others determine that for us? how could we better engage, influence, lead and transform? Planning is so much more than consents and writing plans.

The discussion is intended to be provocative, and will be facilitated by James Palmer, Chief Executive of Hawke’s Bay Regional Council (and former Deputy Secretary, Sector Strategy at the Ministry for the Environment), and will include some audience interaction with the panel. A great way to kick off the evening with the Gala Awards Dinner celebrating our profession to follow!
