ELEANOR MOHAMMED

Eleanor Mohammed is an Executive Leader with over 16 years of public, private, and not-for-profit sector experience; having worked for local and provincial governments, and the consulting industry. Eleanor has led a variety of projects including the preparation of statutory and strategic governance documents; policy and guideline development; stakeholder engagement; and various land use, community development, and economic initiatives.
With the recent completion of her final term, Eleanor has the distinguished honour of the being the longest serving President of the Canadian Institute of Planners. She has also served as the President of the Alberta Professional Planners Institute and is highly skilled in organizational management, communications, and proactive strategy development.
Eleanor is an Edify Magazine #Top40YEG award recipient and a passionate professional who regularly speaks and presents at international events; most recently, the 2020 United Nations Habitat World Urban Forum 10 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She holds a Master of Arts with Distinction in Town and Country Planning from the University of the West of England, Bristol, U.K. and has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Environmental Management.
